Helping to inform and inspire young people
Wow! What a fantastic start to the pilot for these students. They were really engaged and came up with some top ideas.
"This is sooo cool" exclaimed many of the students, as they tried out the range of virtual reality headsets - costing between £5 and £2,000.
After they'd had a go with all the technology Dragon Hall had brought along, they split into groups to decide which technology, issue and group they were going to work with. There was some really great discussion, with members putting forward their arguments for which they wanted to choose.
The following were finally agreed:
Young Carers / Society / Google Cardboard with 360 camera
Homeless people / Crime / Oculous Rift
Young Offenders / Poverty / Google Cardboard
Disabled People / Education / Oculous Rift
The students started researching their ideas today - and putting together the start of their pitch.
Looking forward to them developing their ideas and finalising their pitch together - and of course to the presentations themselves.
Good luck guys - and thanks for all your hard work today.
