East London Digital Club

New City College is launching the first ever East London Digital Club, aimed at 11-18 year olds.  You'll get an introduction to a range of digital skills directly from employers. 

The workshops will run every Wednesday, 4-6pm at Hackney Community College, Room J206, Falkirk Street, London N1 6HQ.  Initially the club is open for the following schools:

  • Stoke Newington (speak to Juliet Alexander)
  • Chobham Academy (speak to Emma Robinson)
  • Dagenham Park (speak to Alan Hunnable)
  • Leytonstone School (speak to Steve Barks)
  • St Paul's Way Trust (speak to Sajeda Begum)
  • New City College - Hackney Campus (speak to Miranda Gay) and
  • New City College - Tower Hamlets Campus (speak to Annie Wyett-Kenton)

Each introductory session lasts for two weeks.  Schedule is: 

  • VFX / Animation - 22 and 29 November
  • Emerging Technologies - 24 and 31 January
  • Agile Methodology: Working in Modern Tech Roles: 21 and 28 February 
  • Coding 7 and 14 March
  • Smart Cities- 21 and 28 March
  • Digital Marketing - Date to be confirmed
