Project Description

Students create their own website, without having to have any coding skills.  The website hosts their work – and this digital format makes it easy for people to view their portfolio.

They learn what content they should include to best portray themselves.  This is particularly impressive for creative industries who have large portfolios to showcase and / or videos of performances.

Students also learn what content is most likely to get picked up by search engines and how to create a meaningful LinkedIn channel.

The outcome is a professional, creative and engaging online presence, which they can use and update throughout their working life.

Additionally, students learn the importance of self-promotion, how to write copy that showcases their skills, aspirations and personal qualities.  They also learn about website aesthetics and how to select appropriate assets for their portfolio – as well as making simple digital edits.
