Creative Digital Careers - LMI Infographics

Bringing young people from schools in Newham and Waltham Forest together with creative employers, this project develops labour market information (LMI) knowledge, skills and insights. Young people work on a live brief to research and design an infographic to inform and advise other local young people, parents, careers advisors and teachers about emerging career opportunities in the creative industries.

Open Doors for Educators will pilot a new and uniquely immersive CPD format that combines essential industry insight, with direct employer engagement, have-a-go experiences, and activities to follow up with a school.

Careers Workshop & Pop up design

To host, within Tower Hamlets College Creative Arts studios, a series of pop up bespoke design and printing workshops run by a Local Printing company. This will run alongside a day of career workshops for students to meet and interview professional designers, from a range of specialist areas within the creative industries.

Digital Archiving

Working in partnership with the London Metropolitan Archives we will celebrate 30 years of Stoke Newington School. Project leads will plan a Creative Day with the students to allow them to explore the history of their school. Students will go on to produce creative works inspired by the school's archives.

This Is It!

This Is It! is a creative careers event model designed and developed by The Creative Society and a team of event planners from Dagenham Park's sixth form. The event will take place at the Broadway Theatre in July for Year 12s. It will consist of interactive workshops, activities and talks from industry professionals in the creative sector.

Cracking the Tech Careers code

Students will produce a video which explains the tech industry - including roles and routes into the sector. The video will then be circulated to their peers and careers influencers.

With hundreds of thousands of CVs out there, it can feel impossible to get yours noticed. This pilot gives students the practical skills to build their own digital CV - complete with interactive links to their own websites and portfolios.

East London Digital Club

A really fantastic pilot where we'll create an East London Digital Club, for 11-18 year olds. Our aim is to create excitement around the digital sector, encouraging employers to get involved, so skills shortages can be addressed at an early age. This will result in a more highly skilled workforce – thus benefiting both young people and employers.
